About BrainDigs

We are a duo of artists that began working together in 2008 creating

tiny "Worldscapes" out of glass. The process is important in the

creation of our NFTs. Each piece is meticulously created out of glass

using multiple layers, various levels of opacity and inclusions. These are then fired in a kiln and cooled. These handcrafted environments are then photographed digitally to explore the exquisite intricacies and depth using  multiple angles, lighting techniques and focal points.

News

We are very excited to announce that  BrainDigs has been  profiled in the online publication Photography on the Edge. The periodical showcases NFT artists working with photographic practices that defy or challenge the common definition of a photograph. We will keep you updated as more details become available. About Our Collections

Between Fluid and Solid

Between Fluid and Solid is and exploration of our hand crafted glass art pieces.  These works are pure glass fired in a kiln and explored using macro photography. Each piece is only about the size of a US quarter.  These pieces are created using various types of glass layered with silver or copper inclusions. The heating process creates interesting effects that lend themselves to being investigated  more thoroughly.

Spray Of Fragility

In this collection we explore the dichotomy between humans and nature.By incorporating our fragile glass art pieces with the natural beauty of plants and flowers we seek to create an uneasy beauty. Nature but not exactly. Nature with human intervention. We see the ease in which humankind can destroy our fragile ecosystem with climate change, pollution and other destructive practices. By working with nature instead of against it we can change the direction of our path.

Pushing Boundaries

Pushing Boundaries is the process of questioning the status quo, moving past accepted norms. In order to become who we want to be we must challenge who we are. Much of this work explores  the ever present eye on human society, and the push toward authoritarian regimes. The bright colors signify the importance of knowing the course of history and pushing back from the dark world we are heading toward.
